I want my daughter to get invloved in a sign language class in her school. But if shes in the class, what sort of happens. I know they learn sign language but is there anything else?

First of all, Do you want her to learn ASL?
There are different types of Sign language.
ASL is American Sign Language.
You learn the language as if it is a complete
foreign language. You start with how to introduce
yourself. Then comes, numbers, abc’s, members
of the family, colors.. and so on.
In the class the teacher might ask the students to
visit some deaf events during the class. This is to
introduce the students to the deaf culture and
let them learn that deaf people are not intimidating
but instead very kind and patient.
You could have your daughter learn basic ASL
through Youtube videos.
