  1. Next to first aid sign language is
a class you would like to learn.
    To you its a priority,
when I took sign language course
    they were night classes.
There is the ASL which stands for American sign language which uses little fingerspelling
The other one is Manual English
this one has fingerspelling and initialing
    Which ever one you do
    there will the manual alphabet.

  2. I took four semesters at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Belton, TX. I assume you are in Killeen, TX. I learned the language and the culture. It was a great experience. I don’t know who the professors are now, but when I was there, they were all Deaf (but don’t be scared). I highly recommend it. The class was only one night a week. If you can learn it, there are a lot of job opportunities out there. Also, I know that a private school is expensive, but if you are only taking the ASL classes, and if you audit the class, it doesn’t cost as much. Also, many of the professors come from Austin Community College. ACC offers one of the best ASL degree programs and the students enter great careers. After my four semesters at UMHB, I thought about entering the ACC program. I encourage everyone to learn this language.

  3. Check with a local university or community college. I have taken classes at both. Community college is cheaper and the same classes. I have taken 3 and love it. Go for it.
