I don’t know any deaf people, and I live in the Philippines( I don’t know if we use ASL here or some other sign languages)

guess what??? i am hard of hearing and sign language was first language.
ohhhh in philippines, im not sure if philippines use AMERICAN sign language.
im sure they used other sign language in philippines.
ASL is not a universal language. Sign language can vary from place to place. I think it’s great that you are teaching yourself! I say keep it up! I was born hearing impaired and I learned Sign Language when I was a kid because I went to school for the deaf and the hearing impaired. I forgot Sign language because I didn’t have anyone to sign with. BUT I took it again in College and my teacher said to use a mirror so you can see the way letters/words look. Best advise! Also when I was in college we had webcams which made it possible to sign with someone eslewhere. You should check around your area and don’t give up!
