  1. The more the better, I suppose. None of them are too strong to learn in particular but it will be an equal asset regardless of the language learnt. Hope it helps.

  2. spanish is the easiest if u failed that one ur gonna fail every language u try PENDEJA! lol

  3. since you want to be a lawyer, american sign language would be useful, but i think spanish would be the most commonly used. good luck 🙂

  4. German. It won’t be easy but it will teach you a lot of things. Latin would be even better if they offer that because lawyers use latin phrases.

  5. Personally I took American Sign Language and loved it. By the end of my senior year I was pretty much fluent in the language and am now in college studying to be a Sign Language Interpreter. If you are a visual learner it is definitely the way to go since everything is done visually. I also found that in my Sign Language program we got to do a lot more than many of the other languages; for example we were able to go visit deaf schools in the area.

I definitely see your problems with Spanish because many schools tend to have a lot of teachers teaching it many of which are not very good. I do know many that took German and French, but did not learn as much as we did in the sign language program. However, as a lawyer I believe that it would be very possible that any one of these language may come in use at some point in your career.

  6. unless you have a particular interest in ESL, I would steer clear of that, as a foreign language generally looks better, unless you show a college that you use ESL in volunteer work or something (the college might assume that you wanted to get out of a “real” language(no insult intended, ESL just requires a very different skill set, and could be interpreted as an easy way out by some), or something like that.

as far as italian and german go, those are largely regional languages. however, if you are really interested in art, italian might complement your interests (french too, for that matter) more so than spanish or german. on the other hand, if you are interested in science/engineering, germany is a powerhouse in those fields, and you might get to study abroad there, or something cool like that.

french and spanish are the other two “word” languages besides english. French, you have europe, western africa, quebec, and various islands. Spanish, you have mexico, south america and the caribean, along with spain (not sure what the deal with brazil is. the official/main language is portuguese, though I assume you could survive with spanish.

So I would go with french or spanish. I took french, so I’m biased towards that, but either will do.

  7. Well, this is advice on what not to do: sorry, but you failed one of the easiest languages you have to choose from. Spanish is VERY similar to italian, so I would recommend not taking it if you don’t want an experience like the last. Sign language would probably not come in handy later on, if you really think about it. Hope that narrows down your choices! Good luck!!!!!

  8. Well, it’s hard to say. You could really just pick anything, but the key is to stick with whatever it is you choose. There is no ‘superior’ language.

German is a lot like English (English is a germanic language), but it’s pretty complex. Italian is a lot like Spanish, and so is French. Sign language might be good for you, but I haven’t a clue. It’s both visual and kinesthetic, so if written language isn’t your thing, or oral language isn’t your thing, and you still want to technically be speaking in English, American sign language might be better for your learning style.

It depends on what your learning style is, however.

  9. Spanish is the most widely spoken, and the easiest to learn if you talk English… most anglophones say that Spanish is easier than French or Italian… and that German have a lot of grammar rules.

If you speak Spanish, you can easily understand Italian and Portuguese around 70%, and maybe french because they’re romance languages…

don’t give up that easy! Jajaja
    look at me…
    I’m learning English =)…

    Te deseo suerte aprendiendo.
    Adiós.

  10. Take Spanish. one you do i think it will make Latin and French easier. They have a lot of similar words.

  11. my sister takes german and she likes it and the answer is german…its a beautiful language and other ones too. 🙂
