My 2 year old has a very small capacity (He is said to be equivalent to a 12-15 mo old) and so I’ve decided that in addition to his speech therapy, I’d like to start teaching him some signs. He has already learned “more”. He picked it up really easily, so I think he will do well with this. I’ll probably teach my 15 month old as well.
So my question is, how did you learn the signs to teach them? Can you recommend any good books or websites?
.
some people make up their own signs, some use “baby sign-language” and some use actual sign language.
the only experience i have is teaching my girls the hand sign for “milk” to ask for “num-num” (nursing)
this site was used by one of my friends.

I can’t help, just wanted to say good idea & good luck.
I don’t know sign language. They teach it at daycare and then the kids come home using it and I have no idea what they are saying. What little I know I’ve learned from them.
