  2. I think this may be my favorite of all the songs I’ve seen you perform… Would there ever be a change you’d be willing to break down this one at some point? I’m a 21-year-old ASL student from the Bay Area and I find your videos are one of my strongest motivations to continue improving my signing!

  3. ALLY!!! HELLO IM BARBARA FROM MEXICO I HAVE TO ASK SOMEThing sorry about capletters
did you know universal sign language?
my boss is made acongress and we need some interpreters
    if you can help
    thanks have fun

  4. thank you I use a different variation than that, was never taught that variation. Good to know I see a lot of people sign that never knew what it meant. Much like a see a lot of people sign “try” more ESL vs ASL. Thanks! You sign well keep it up!

  5. Thats true thats like my experience in learning ASL trying to find people who were patient enough to help teach me. I never had expected it, I’ve only been learning for 3 months and 3 weeks. Went from not being able to say anything to being able to talk with people for hours. Btw, what is that sign when you make a fist kiss it and move it away from your face. I see it a lot but not one has told me what it means.

  6. ok wow! 1: great song choice!
2: Way to persevere through the noise distraction, deaf folks probably didn’t even miss a beat.
3: WONDERFUL use of Classif., facial expressions, sign choice etc. ; this song is so [english] and the words seem difficult to put into a good translation, but big Kudos ‘cuz you nailed it!
Loved “open up your mind and think like me”
and “look into your heart and youll find LOVE, love love love…” (the way LOVE just sprouts from the heart made me smile)
    thank you!

  7. I wish I realized I could major in Deaf Ed before now. I just spent 3 years in an interpreting program and I’m bound and determined to finish the last two years of it and then I’m going into Deaf Ed. I want to teach Deaf kids too. You are such an inspiration. I love watching you sign. Keep up the good work. You are showing the world what a beautiful language ASL really is.

  8. I just have a random question….did this happen to take place on a Tuesday??? it would explain the LOUD alarm. Every Tuesday the Ferry Building has an Alarm that goes off.

  9. HAHAHAHAHAHA I just wanted to share that as I was watching this video from my desk at work…the clock started chiming!!! LOL

  10. haha. i was sooo waiting to see a fire truck or fire fighters going behind you. gahhh. you are soo inspirational. you keep me learning. i find asl soo fascinating and want to be as good as you are one day 🙂 good job!
…and please keep making videos i love watching you

  11. Your right, it was “before”! Thanks! What about at 6:34 ? Sorry to keep asking you, i’m just curious! 😀

  12. I love this sooo much.

I need to do an about me sometime soon. I know what I want to say, and how to sign it, but I’m sucking at actual ASL right now. With the word ordering, ect.

But You’ve got it down pretty well. 😉 I don’t remember how long you’ve studied ASL, but I’ve only been involved in it for about three years on and off.

  13. Hey Ally, I’m a big fan. i was wondering, at 0:18/19 what is that sign it looks like “worse” to me. or maybe “unbelieveable”? great job!

  14. Ally at 4:20/21 what is that sign? It looks similar to ‘way’ but I can’t figure out what it is…

  15. What does the sign mean when you rub one flat hand on your chest and the other flat on your stomach? I’ve noticed it in a bunch of videos, usually at the beginning before a song begins.
