This was on of the best videos I’ve ever seen of someone signing songs in ASL…so really good job, amazing! I don’t know what else to say haha
I really like the way you sign. However, I’m confused. It looks like you are using “sad” and “depressed” for the line “are you down”. That would be out of context. “Are you down?’ is an idiom meaning “would you like to..?” As I’m new to ASL please let me know if I’m wrong about the sign.

@heresyoursign95 I think the sign you mean is, literally – “hit” and you use it like you would use “happen” but for something more sudden or shocking… it is a discourse marker (google it) – the key to making your ASL understandable as a new signer is often mastering discourse markers – they take your signing from a bunch of words that people understand separately but have no idea what your point is….to meaningful phrases. @zephyreros I think Banerika is referring to that sign that means like… hmm I gloss it in my head as “touch touch touch” but I use for like “travel to many places” or “go and see everything”… you are using it when the english is “let’s fly away…” It does look a lot like the sign for tornado – different finger – lol Am I right Banerika?

I would say if you enjoy to mouth while you are performing your songs in ASL, do it! : ) I don´t think that it distracts. It´s common for me that my deaf friends, ASL and DGS (German Sign Language) teacher mouth while using sign language to communicate.
