  1. She is signing words and concepts out of CONTEXT.
This would be like learning French by picking up a dictionary and putting it in english word order.

  2. What’s she talking aboot? Any how come in the last video she kept saying “surry” instead of sorry? I smell a Canadian!

    Also.. love these videos =)

  3. “Your numbers, your numbers, your 123s” We get it lady!! God. i feel like such a 5 year (notthat there’s anything wrong with 5 year olds..thier cute hehe) when she talks to me! Damn!

  4. I rated this video one star, “poor” because this person is not qualified to be teaching ASL. If anyone watching this really wants to learn ASL, find a real ASL teacher to learn from. On YouTube, there is a Deaf teacher of ASL named Rob Nielson (BYUFanatic) who posts excellent videos for beginning to learn ASL. I highly recommend him. He is slow, clear, and 100% correct.

  5. you guys also need to remember she’s also not teaching you syntax or grammar so even if you put a few of her “signs” together, you’re not communicating a full phrase or sentence, just a couple of random words together. And some of her signs are not just a regional difference, they’re signed English signs which is NOT ASL!

  6. I have mentioned it to Expertvillage and their reply is, “we do not verify expertise.” Clearly not.

  7. Pointing out every mistake she makes would be time-consuming and also pointless. Problem number one is that she is spreading misinformation about the language when she equates signs with English words. Signs do not represent English words, they represent concepts or ideas. It is not a “manual representation of English.”

  8. whats wrong with what shes Teaching?
i heard several people say that BUT what is she doing wrong? & why don’t you mention it to
    Expert village?

  10. HOLY CRAP, ive memorized 40 of these in one day! ive been
doing this all day and i can say a few scentences now!
    IN ONE DAY!

  11. so she’s not teaching it wrong like a lot people have been saying, it’s just a different way of communicating the same thing?

  12. People, people. Goodness gracious.
If you have learned other signs for these, it is because she lives in a different region. Different places have different variations for signs. Just like in english, how words become popular in one place, but not another.
The majority of signs have variations.

  13. They (expert village) should remove her videos, the problem is, she gets lots of views because she fools people into thinking that she is an expert, when she is not an expert. So, unfortunately, if you learn from her, you will embarrass yourself, but worse, you will have to “unlearn” what she teaches.

  14. Hey its better to try than not. if make mistake. no worry about it, they see you try.I am H of H and i do the same but my deaf friends understand cuz what the lady not tell is use your mouth when signing some can read lips as mine do.Its alot of fun. my level is grade 3-6 and still English mixed in okay. np and sk

  15. I was upset to see so many people saying these signs were wrong. I wanted to learn because I met someone who is deaf and I thought it would be nice. I asked for Water and the sign this video series taught was wrong. She shows three fingers flat just like the letter “W” in front of her chin. The hand is actually supposed to be pointed outward and to the side. I kind of felt like a fool signing lots of wrong things.

  16. Yep. She is a broadcasting personality that learned SEE from a book maybe? Not an expert in ASL by ANY stretch of the imagination. Check out BYUFanatic on YouTube. He is an expert. Thanks.
