@willjustice89 actually I think mrs Keller was refering to the fact that Helen didn’t actually know that the “finger game” was names for things, so she knew how to spell it but didn’t know w-a-t-e-r or k-e-y were actual things….. If that makes sence:) lol
when shes doing da sign languege in her sleep was sooo cute!
@Rowan07001484 Did Helen Learn Brail?
Teaching the dog how to spell… gosh this is soo cute!
@Rowan07001484 no the dad jus wants her to behave
@lithium0611 Even if it not exactly true in real life,helen hid the key under awardrobe,not in a pond.And laughed and did the same with her mom,it makes me love this film which changed my life,so deep,so human,so touching.
@willjustice89 hellen dropped the key in the pond on the first day
Love the movie.. but still.. there’s SOMETHING I can’t figure out. What’s the deal w/ “key” and “water”. What is Mrs. Keller upset about? – “BUT NOT…?”
@mebarela Haha, I’ll admit that I laughed.
she had plenty of patience
annie sullivan’s extremely intelligent and patient.She just knows how to handle with children like helen and i think it’s partly due to her difficult childhood ;She was blind herself and was the best placed to understand helen ‘s frustrations and rage.Thats why she was the one who could help her.and she teaches her more than manual alphabet she teaches her to love the trees, birds,to love everything around her.Wonderful lesson of life and love!wonderful anne sullivan the perfect teacher!
It’s so cute when she wants the dog to spell as well as she does… ^.^
The Stockholm syndrome at work!
In the begineing of the movie, i think her parents made her deft, her mother & father cep on yelling and puting lights in her eyes. I mean come on!
If they feel so sorry for her and not themselves then why are they thinking of putting her in a mental hospital. They must know what those awful places were like.
And they do know she can learn to behave, so why not learn other things aswell. Instead of giving the teacher such a hard time. Their problem is that they don’t listen, becuase they are very judgemental. Most teachers would have left with such harresment. They just don’t understand behaviour.
they want her to learn–they just feel too sorry for her that they dont or cant give her the tough love she needs
they also dont know how to teach a blind and deaf child
Yeh, I suppose so, they have looked after her for all her life. And they see that she’s not learning. But that’s becuase they don’t know how to teach her. And they can’t except that, as their other child turned out ok. They just pander to her every need, becuase they feel sorry for her. And who wouldn’t? She’s blind and deaf. But it’s not the right way to go about things. And her parents have already seen that she can learn. They should have, wanted to take that learning further, for her sake.
It’s not like they don’t want her to learn. Actually, they don’t think she can. I deal with deaf, and I know their parents think they are mentally disabled. and that’s far from true. they don’t see their kids for what they can do, but what they can’t do. Anne (and I) sees their potential.
omg its funny when helen is trying to exercise on 150
0.18 helen looks like the girl from exorcist
i know, what is the deal with them??
i like the part when annie asks captain keller if he likes the child… then, he looks down in shame!!!
get him, annie sullivan!!!!
What is it with her parents. Don’t they want her to learn.
