Black Chat Rooms ? Do’s and Don’ts

Black chat rooms have become quite popular on the internet. It provides various people with the means to communicate, no matter the distance. Once logged on, of course you will be able to interact with people in any way that you like, but you should also set limits to yourself and to others if you want to fully enjoy the experience.

Some of the most basic limits that you need to remember when joining black chat rooms (or any other chat rooms for that matter) are as follows:

Respect others – Remember that the chat rooms are shared by individuals of various nationalities, beliefs, and even religion. So try to avoid from having to criticize or judge other people by what they say. Understand the fact that they are there to find connection just like you do, and it is their right (as much as yours), to be respected for what they are.

Avoid using profane language – Even when you are being attacked, resist the urge from using profanity. There are more creative ways of getting back at the attacker. One of them will be by reporting the individual to the site administrators and getting him/her banned from the room. Try not to sink to the level of inconsiderate people.

Know the language – You will most likely encounter terms like LOL, LMAO, BRB, GTG and other things, and the last thing you’d want to do is irritate other people by asking them what it means every time they say something. Also it would be good to remember that when online, using “all caps” in what you’re saying means that you are already shouting, so unless you want to; try to avoid using it.

Lastly, when using black chat rooms, try to avoid from asking everyone you meet their ASL (age, sex, location), because people will generally see you as having no good intensions and are therefore not worth their time. Try connecting with other people naturally instead, start with light conversations and if you feel that the time is right, then and only then do you ask for some information.
