okay right now i am a sophmore and i am in asl one, and i want to become an american sign language(asl) interpeter. how many years of college do i need? and would i work for a business or can i work alone or how would that work out?

umm you don’t need yrs of college to be an interpreter you do need to take courses but they don’t take yrs and you can either work for a company or an your own. I would do it on my own and network interpreting trust me there’s a lot of people out there that need sign language interpreter’s I believe its the third largest language in the US aside from english and spanish. I think its a great idea to get into it as a career. Know though that it will take yrs to build yourself a name as an interpreter.
