  2. It has been very helpful to friends of mine who decided to learn ASL while pregnant and then use it all the time with their baby boy, who is now 4. He had the easiest toddlerhood EVER because he had no frustrations about making his needs known. Highly recommended!!

  3. Sign language can be generally universal, but is also great for communicating with people hard of hearing. I think everybody should learn sign language, because its a reward in itself (read into that)

  4. There have been many times that I have wished I knew Sign Language. When encountering people who cannot hear, being able to speak Sign Language (if they also do) allows you to better communicate with them. Many people also teach Sign Language to their children so that before they are able to speak they can successfully communicate their needs through Sign Language.

  5. I would think not only to help the increaseing deaf community but it is being used in all sorts of areas where you are not able to hear each other.
    Such as under water divers, around noisy equipment and in space exploration where you can see each other and cannot hear. In some military operations where there is no way they would know what you are saying. It is just another form of english. You can see things farther away than you can hear things.

    Secondly it’s VERY USEFUL AS YOU COULD WORK WITH CHARITY SPORTING DEAF

    Thirdly it’s GOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN AS IT”S CHALLENGING AND WHAT SO.
