  1. @hisama123 thanks 🙂 She’s not deaf, it’s just a great tool for babies to use to communicate their needs to you before they can talk. Plus, it’s a great second language to learn!

  2. wow she is so cute! so amazing! 🙂 is she really deaf or did she learn that despite everything? 😮 sorry if this sounded inappropriate, dunno how else i can formulate my question :s

  3. man,, she is sooooooooooooooo cute
she’s cute when she says wawa= water
how old is she now?? 3??

  4. @DannyARock isn’t learning what kids are all about? Children are always learning whether you realize it or not. And how on earth is it destroying their social lives? I don’t see any connection to that and teaching your child to communicate. Actually, I do, but only a positive connection. I really don’t understand where you’re coming from with this…

  5. I just started doing this with my 3 month old! I have learned about 30 words so far! And i just use them in my every day conversations with him, play time..We have been doing it for 3 days! And i am just so excited to see what he signs first!

  6. @emilycarrey thanks 🙂
In this video she was one but now she is 4 and in Junior Kindergarten!

  7. You are furthering your daughter’s cognitive, motor and social development by doing this with her! It is great that she will reap the cognitive and social benefits of being a simultaneous bilingual AND she is increasing her fine motor and gross motor movements! GREAT STUFF.

    How old is your daughter?

  8. that’s something i’ve tried to make people understand: if you’re going to be teaching your hearing baby sign language, speak as well. the sign language isn’t, in this and other cases, a subsitution for english, but a tool for better/easier communication. it’s like teaching a kid spanish and english; the child will be bilingual.

    lovely video.

  9. Baby signing is an amazing thing. My 3yr old is developmentally delayed, and we started signing with him when he was about 18 months old. It really helped him to learn his words. SO glad to see others being taught! 🙂

  10. I did baby sign with my youngest son, is who now 3yrs old. He’s developmentally delayed, and the speech therapist recommended that we start signing. What an improvement! It did NOT hinder his speech at all. Just the opposite! As they learn the signs, they’re learning to say the word, as well. Baby sign is an amazing thing. So glad to see it being taught! 🙂

  11. That girl is very inteligent. And her mother too. Congrats for havong a baby like this! 😀
