November 2008
Language service company, Prestige Network, has achieved phenomenal financial growth this year and is on target for even bigger growth in the current financial year. Prestige Network grew financially by forty per cent in 2007/2008 and is on target for one hundred per cent growth in 2008/2009. The company has been growing steadily since it was founded 17 years ago, but 2007/2008 represented a landmark period in the company’s history.
Business Development Director Shawn Khorassani commented: “We are growing both in and public and commercial sector. We have invested a lot of effort over the past few years in educating the marketplace in how language services can improve their business and therefore play an important part in their success.
“Language services give companies a huge competitive advantage. By identifying potential obstacles that may restrict access to foreign nationals, many public and commercial organisations have begun to see the benefits in providing information media for non-English speaking audiences.
“Another reason for the sharp annual growth is the increased demand for language services in general. Many companies and organisations are striving to meet the country’s continually expanding and diversifying language base.”
The Association of Translation Companies invited Prestige’s Business Development Director, Shawn Khorassani to present on the subject of ‘How To Manage Growth’. Thus more than one hundred senior members of numerous language companies had the privilege of hearing the success story of Prestige Network.
Prestige Network is proud to announce that it has been selected a finalist in the Thames Valley Business Awards 2008. We are very hopeful of the results to be announced during November.
Business Development Director Shawn Khorassani said: “Prestige Network has always had a strong reputation for the quality and dependability of our service and it is this solid reputation, quality of service and commitment to our customers that puts us firmly at the top of our industry. Ultimately, social cohesion is what Britain today is striving for. It’s important to remember that specialist language services such as ourselves work in a positive way to meet the requirements of today’s multicultural society – translation and interpreting are valuable tools in helping social cohesion to take place.”
In November 2008, Prestige Network was awarded of a contract by the North West Public Sector Consortium for: face, telephone interpreting, British Sign Language interpreting, written translations and face to face interpreting. The client comprises sixty NHS Trusts and six Police Forces in the North West, with a combined estimated contract value of up to £4.5m a year.
To cope with current growth and to ensure capacity for future growth, Prestige Network doubled the square footage of office space in summer 2008. The company expanded into the office next door in Thatcham Business Village, which it is currently fitting out for more staff.

Hello, my name is Shohreh Fleming.
I am the CEO of translations and interpreting company Prestige Network as well as new, online language solutions website www.translationservices-uk.com.
We provide translators and interpreters for organisations all over the UK in well over 200 languages.
I’ve noticed that, as society becomes more multicultural, the requirements for our services have increased beyond all expectations.
These requirements have come from all sectors of government as well as commercial business; from hospitals, the police and legal sector, right through to telecommunications companies, newspapers and broadcasting.
We believe that if knowledge can be shared with people in a language they understand, the journey towards integration can be made without uncertainty or ambiguity.
We take our role in ensuring that information is accessible to all very seriously. By enabling people to speak to one another without obstacles, we move closer towards an effectively integrated future.
