  1. I’ve taken classes before, and I found it somewhat easy. The signs for most words kind of make sense once you learn them, what is most difficult is learning the syntax. They make the subject the first part, because it is the most important part of the sentence. The eye is a muscle so they try to use it as little as possible, so not to tire it out. Here’s an example,
In english we would say ” I want the red ball”
In ASL it is signed “Ball red I want”

So the hard part is just training your mind to rearrange the words as someone is signing to you.

Go on http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/browser.htm or youtube, and you can watch other people and learn some words, to see if you think you’d be okay.

I am a visual learner, so I like sign language, and if you want to learn it I feel you won’t do too bad.

    Good luck!!

  2. It is not hard to learn at all. It is very easy and fun to sign. It helps if, when you learn new signs, you sign them to yourself in the mirror everyday to familiarize yourself with their meanings.
