I want to start learning ASL for fun and also to learn a new language and I was wondering if anyone knows about an ASL workshop, class, or college that teaches it for highschoolers. I live in the Chicago land area, so it would have to be around there, thanks!

Learning ASL isn’t hard at all and it can be done without spending too much money. Some people find learning ASL to be very repetitive and boring. This is not true!
If you find it boring to learn then you are most likely using the wrong method. I learned ASL from home only, no need for special classes and expensive private teachers.

This is what I used to learn ASL and I must say i was very impressed by the results. When I signed up they had a special promotion with a 1 week free daily course, If they still have that promotion then you could try that first and see if it works out for you. Its basically a demo version of their software.
