  1. deafmatching dot c om is an online community for deaf, ASL and hearing-impaired friends and singles!
    Have fun with photos, message boards, chat, blog and more.

  2. I agree fully, God made us all different for HIS pleasure! MOST hearing people are uneducated about ALL that Deaf can do! Most hearing, but NOT ALL! Many many hearing people are now fascinated & full of respect for Deaf and ASL, why? hearing people are becoming familiar with Deaf because of ASL! Give us’ hearies’ a chance we love you. thanks

  3. Hey, my friend Dave married on deafmatching. He is very excellent. Meet deaf singles pls check
    ~~~deafmatching dot c om~~~
  4. I hear but I have so much respect for people that cannot. I do not call them deaf because it’is often more used as a swear to them and I really think that’s bad.
    I think people not being able to hear are needed to be more respected rather then making fun of. And I do not care if anybody will shit on my comment, but that’s my point of view. so yeah, Have respects. They aren’t anything different from us, though their volume button is just muted. that’s all.
  5. same some church heal deaf becoming hearing,some not. if found deaf not healing.they will say deaf not enough of faith.i read bible not true,his purpose of our gift of deaf many ways.i agreed him story.
  6. I must say..I do totally agreed with ya..I was born deaf but..I do wear hearing aids and…spme people do ttreated me different not happy about but..I can deal with it…so..no probelm!
  7. i can really agree to that. i have a blind cousin and i love people with disabilities, no matter what their disability is. i feel safer around them because i don’t feel like they’re judging me, and i feel like they have a huge amount of humbleness and compassion in their hearts. it’s something i don’t really see in “normal” people.
  8. Deaf people tend to stick together as a group and limit themselves from the world because they have this attitude that hearing people are putting them down. Were in new world and generation where deaf and HOH people become more accepted by hearing people just like how African American became more accepted by white people. Did you know that many hearing people who love or want to be part of deaf culture feel unwelcomed and treated are unkindly too?
  9. Deaf people are normal people but they are also not normal, they are unique and have a special quality that hearing people cant have. There is nothing wrong with a deaf person wanting to speak, if thats what he or she chooses. I respect you for choosing to sign and you should respect other peoples decision for choosing to speak. Deaf and hearing people are the same which is right but they separate themselves in different cultures.
  10. its ignorance to say “hearing people” are always looking down on deaf people, alot of hearing people think sign language is cool and actually like meeting deaf people. Yes it is true there are people who are weirded out by deaf people because they dont know how to confront them or act polite around them. Hearing people arent use to deaf people because they are educated enough about other cultures and sign language. Its bullshit to say that hearing people look down on deaf people.
  11. I find it amazing how he knows how to use sign language. I am of hearing and I am currently learning ASL 🙂
  12. I quote the late Frederick Schreiber, Executive Director of NAD, who was fond of saying: “It’s what’s between the ears that count!” Fred would like that speech! Aristotle the Greek philosopher is the one who coined the term “deaf and dumb’ because he thought speech and intelligence were related. He was proven wrong. A lot of hearing people have misconceptions about the deaf culture. Thank God for those who don’t. Try to be friends with them!
  13. I am an upcoming interpreter and I am an ally for Deaf people and also an advocate disabled people. This video should be shared with more hearing people especially those of us trying to understand Deaf culture personally I am 100% behind everything you said.
  14. you know, coolevildude37…it happens that i agree with you. I mean when i used to be a hearing person…one of my boyfriends is deaf and when i met him i knew he was deaf and i even approached him because i think he was just so cute and i even started learning ASL…so, i can be able to communicate with him..now, that i am 27 years old, and lost my hearing because of presbycusis and Tinnitus i am hoh deaf and most of my friends want to learn ASL and i even read lips myself.
  15. wow !!! u make me inspirited and agree with u full !! yes yes we should share with hearing people .. please add me alright with you smile smile
  16. there is a deaf kid in my gym class and he seams to read lips very whel i did not even no he was deaf untill one of the asistant teachers started signing to him
  17. I agree with you. totally. I’m hearing impaired but I learned sign language, but yes you are so right
  18. ¿wats up?Im deaf guy not ever HH I disagreed i made many hearing friends first time my hearing friends think all deaf people are low-memory/mind/brain few days later my hearing friends think im coolest person than friends and start wanna to learn how to sign language its happened to hearing ppl all hearing people were wrong about DEAF ppl so im in high school rite now(SR yr) my school all hearing must take ASL class GUESS All HEARING WRONG.Thanks for sharing and also my sharing.Peace Out
  19. I often hear that most of the hearing world thinks less of deaf or looks down on them. I disagree with this statement. I think many hearing people may not know how to react around a deaf person because they don’t know the language or may not want to look foolish with trying to communicate. Sometimes hearing people are confused or just uneducated on the whole matter. Being rude or condescending can be mistaken for being confused or uneducated. I would say most people dont look down on them.
  20. Yes i totally agree with you that God has own purpose to create the beautiful people like Hispanic, Black, Asian, White and of course, Deaf on our planet.
