  1. Definitely.
It is pretty simple once you get the hang of it and you use it a lot.
It’s a good thing to know sometimes too.

  2. there are classes where you can learn sign language. i know many people that have learn it and said it was actually fun and easy. hope that helped

  3. yea it’s pretty easy…i mean like all languages…it takes time and does get tricky..but i know some…and i actually also want to get good at it

  4. It would be only slightly more difficult because you don’t have anyone at home to practice with.

Just like any other language, ASL is easier to learn when you have plenty of opportunty to use it. So take a class, and partner up with some others so you can have after class practice sessions.

It is taught in most City Colleges. My wife was an advocate for the deaf, and also interpreted for the Municipal Court.

  5. you can teach yourself learn from others…it is not that difficult to pick up. Library has videos, books to teach you..shoot even the net…come on it’s out there my pre-schooler was taught the abc’s and can do them daily.

  6. If babies can do it, you can too. Both my kids learned some signs before they could even speak.

But like anything else, if you don’t use it, you’ll loose it. Volunteer to help with the deaf, you’ll learn a lot.

  7. Its not very hard. I took a class for two years and I had a long (but basic) conversation with a person who was deaf. It is really worth the time to learn, and it may be diffficult sometimes to learn, but it is like playing an instrument. I recomend you learn it, because then you know it, and you can show off for your friends 😛 hahaha

  8. It shouldn’t be too hard, just buy a book with basic signing pictures in it. You could take a course at your local community college as well.

  9. it is a great language to learn, i enjoy taking classes on it, you should do research in your area to see where lessons can be taken, check a high school they might have classes a night

  10. yes its possible and you should try it,its a great language to learn.Go to school and take classes also try and get involved with the deaf community and get some deaf friends.that will help out alot, you need someone to practice with.

  11. Its a fascinating language to me and most of the signings are pretty close to the actual movement of the word. I bought a book and everyday i try to focus on a couple of words.like anything else it takes practice

  12. Yes, it is very possible. It’s the same concept as learning a new language like spanish or german. Even if you dont have a family memeber who is deaf it would still be usseful to learn because you might have a job/activity were there is someone deaf and who do they call YOU!

    ~try to learn~
