most of the videos i’ve seen you do songs that are fun and kinda happy. there’s nothin wrong with that but i think it would be interesting if you did a song with a different feeling. maybe a serious song or somethin with attitude, something different… i think it could be good to broaden your horizons… 🙂

Yeah, I translate stuff into Chinese from English and I would definitely have to change that line to say “I wasn’t nervous anymore” or something. Not sure if the “butterflies in my stomach” metaphor is used in ASL, though; I’m not a signer.
As a translator I would have to agree with the decision to spell out “HOLLYWOOD” rather than use the word for Hollywood; in Chinese, the word Hollywood has metaphorical connotations of filmmaking, which aren’t necessarily applicable to the sign itself.
I think the line butterflies fly away or whatever is referring to her nervousness leaving. Not butterflies coming out of her literally. That’s the only part that made me go wtf?!?! Haha

The sign hollywood is refering to the city. Whwn he fingerspells it means the “sign” on the hill. I know i spell when wrong i cant change it. curse my iphone keypad!!!!

i ended up signing this for asl 2 and got a 98 haha it was great everybody was really impressed because thay all did songs with a slower tempo i need to sign another song and i have no idea what im going to do any suggesstions?
if you’re an interpreter then u sign/gloss what someone else is saying. I’m not trying to bring him down, but we were looking at ppl signing songs in class. . . but he signed hollywood, but there is an avtual sign for hollywood, it’s not finger spelled.
