I learnt when I was at school – not a lot – but I learnt the alphabet and a few others words / phrases. It wasn’t that hard actually – the same as any other language really, you just have to practise practise practise! I’m sure you’ll be fine – at least you won’t have as much grammar to think about as when you learn a foreign language. Good luck! xx
Sign language is easy to start learning but incredibly hard to master.
And ignore that other person, the grammar is RADICALLY different.
