Check out most community colleges, adult schools, hospitals and state commission for the deaf.
Call all the libraries in your area and find out if they have sign language tapes, at least one of them will carry them. Only 1 library in my county has them and they have part I to part IV. You can also check with the colleges in your area. Some colleges will offer sign language part I in the beginning of the summer and part II at the end of the summer for a low fee. You should also go on-line and either sign up for on-line classes (i have never done) or go to http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/browser.htm and learn some basic words- It will not teach you how to conversate but u will become familiar w/ some signs
