  1. I do not know of any since I am not in that area, but some good resources to consult would be your doctor’s office and library. More than likely, they would be able to help you locate something.

    If the library does not know of any classes, they more than likely have books and videos about sign language. My children (ages 10, 7 and 6 months) are learning sign language, even though none have speech or hearing difficulties. I did not start as young with my older two as I did with my baby, and I was thrilled when she recently began using a couple of signs!

    In our state, we have a school for the Deaf and Blind. If you can consult a similar institution in your area, they will more than likely be able to help you as well (and will probably be a continuing resource for you throughout your child’s life).
