  1. Spanish is a lot of fun. I’ve had nearly ten classes of it so far and I’ve learned a lot from Selena’s songs. lol I won’t say it’s completely easy, but many aspects of it are.

Sign language I know very little, but my mother learned it for her Speech Therapy classes. It is fun too, because you get to be kinesthetic and move around a lot.

SO it depends on you. I personally would choose Spanish, because that’s my minor. 😉 But if you want to try something fun, I’d say go for American Sign Language. It’s definitely different and I’m sure it’d be a lot of fun! Have a great class! 🙂

  2. Sign language for sure!

For one, it is incredibly cool. I saw two guys signing to each other at the mall once, it was very cool to watch.

And there really aren’t as many resources for learning sign language, so you should take the opportunity when you have it! Most high schools and colleges offer Spanish. Few offer sign language. I wish they had sign language at my college.

Bottom line is, if you ever want to learn Spanish, you will have many opportunities to do so. The same is not true of sign language, so you should take it!

And you know, everyone and their mother takes Spanish. Whenever I ask my peers what language they took in high school, it is usually Spanish or French. It is a lot more impressive if you learn sign language because not many take it or have an opportunity to take it.

  3. Well, I think spanish. I know perfect spanish and they say is one of the hardest ones to learn for being so rich. Plus, you will find yourself in the situation where you need to speak spanish more often than to communicate through sign language. But sign language is also cool, too. I think it depends the one you think you will get more out of… but I think spanish…

    hope this helps:)

ps: if you decide spanish and have any doubt about it feel free to send me an email;)

  4. If you want to reach out to the English-speaking deaf ppl in the USA and Canada, then go for ASL.

    Otherwise, take Spanish.
