I want to learn sign language and I was just wondering whether it’s the same no matter where you go?
Plus, how does one learn it?
I’m from the UK, so does US sign differ from UK?

No
There are many types of sign language.
American Sign Language, or ASL, is, as the name states, “American” and is used in America. Throughout the years, though, ASL has become prominent all over the world, and is almost universal.
Other places have their own “dialects,” though.
As for learning, I would imagine that there are teachers. If not, online:

No it is not universal but North American sign language is very similar to French sign language because the founders of the first deaf school in america were French. One can learn sign language in school. I take it at my junior college. It’s like learning a foreign language.
