American Sign Language (ASL) Storytelling Contest #1


This is the first American Sign Language Storytelling Contest made possible by Everyday ASL Productions (www.everydayasl.com) in celebrating recent launch of a brand new 2-disc ASL DVD: “American Sign Language for Kids & Adults, Volume 1” at: everydayasl.com This nearly 3-hour DVD package will help viewers learn the fundamentals of American Sign Language about everyday life with fun and lessons about kindness and compassion. Important Contest Dates: November 16, 2007: Contest #1 begins January 11, 2008: Contest #1 ends January 12, 2008: 3 Finalists selected by judges and notified January 15, 2008: 3 Finalists’ videos posted & voted by Youtube.com members January 29, 2008: Members voting ends January 31, 2008: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners announced.

  1. im 14(and not deaf) and i want to learn asl because i think it will be very useful in the field i want to work in when i get older… it is a brilliant idea to encourage asl story telling… i hope i can learn to tell stories in asl!

  2. You are so lucky! The year after I graduated they finally added more advanced classes and more classes, but I still don’t think they have ASL, which I would have been ecstatic to take! So I am learning now.

  3. I have an ASL class at my highschool, I’m in love with it! Sign language is just awesome..

  4. ASL is the best I love this language… im a college student at Madonna University in Livonia Michigan… ASL is awsome

  5. That is a great Idea. Even though I don’t sign in ASL, It is a great idea to learn different methods of signing. (I use the SEE method (Signing Exact English)).
