  1. @cutiepaige101 ASL is its own language just like french or spanish it has its own grammar order and even its own way of being written. New Zealand speaks mostly English but they have NZSL as one of its own official languages. Anyway there is a BIG difference between signed English and ASL, ASL also has “accents” like any other language.

  2. I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf dating site, ———-deafmatching dot c om——–, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

  3. @cutiepaige101 Then look up the information and learn. I was trying to be polite and show you the difference between the two languages, and you are continuing to be rude. When you are old enough to use proper grammar, and speak in full sentences, then I would be happy to debate you on the differences between ASL & English. Until then, please continue in blissful ignorance and tell someone who is Deaf that ASL is ENGLISH. In the meantime, DO research on ASL and the people I referenced. PEACE…

  4. @connierc1 Ok4 one thin I barely understood ANYTHING you said…but this is sign language not SPEAKING all I am saying is english is ASL..DUH

  5. @isamumichi HI! yes, you may be right … I do get the two (or more!) confused (still a student, if not an older one! ;0) lol ). My professor is quite strict when we use English word order when signing, and so I notice the difference, but not always WHICH of the non-ASL “languages” are being used. Thanks for pointing it out, need all the help I can get!!! PEACE…

  6. @pyschorainbow77 I’m so sorry, this never was sent to me, or I would have replied right away. HHMM, it’s not letting me insert the links. Here is her name: rosaleeshow. It’s incredible, I watch all of her vids. Another Deaf “singer” you may like is: zephyreros. For a great Hearing “signer” of songs: therealgoober. Hope you can find these -think if you just type their names as shown, will bring you to their “subscription” page – then hunt around their sites, it’s worth it! ENJOY! PEACE…

  7. @cutiepaige101 Well, yes and no :0) – Laurent Clerc, who was French, came to the U.S in 1817, collaborated w/ Thomas Gallaudet, developed what we call American Sign Language. While ASL borrows from “English” words, most ASL concepts & sentence structure have no similarity with spoken English. Classifiers would be hard to translate word-for-word & can’t “speak” & use “ASL” at same time, since two VERY different languages. One CAN use word-for-word ENGLISH structure, but that’s not ASL. PEACE…

  8. This is really good, too bad the light is a bit dimm 🙁 still it is really good job and I love it XD.

  9. @Texasreblecowboy

I think it’s done in PSE (pigeon signed English)….I think you might have meant that, but I thought you meant SEE (signed exact English)…

  13. are you actually ASKING seriously if we are Deaf, or just being incredibly insensitive and rude? Not everyone who wants to watch this is Deaf or Hearing, and imagine most of us appreciate what these folks have done, and what ssssoo many others are doing here on utube to bring the Deaf & Hearing cultures together

    PEACE….

  14. I’ve seen a LOT of signed english videos on utube, not as many ASL songs. One really incredible one is 2 Deaf women doing a “remake” of SCREAM by Michael & Janet Jackson. You should be able to find it — truly fantastic.

THIS is good, too, of course. I’ve just discovered the whole utube ASL world – been away from ASL for almost 8 yrs, and have lost a ton of info, sadly :0( … great to see all this available to both Deaf and Hearing!!

    PEACE…

  15. @Texasreblecowboy ya i think they signed it in english not sign. but its still pretty good :p i think its harder to sign this particular song in asl ive tried and i really have to think about it xD but im still just a learner so…
