um, we should definitely put together an ASL Festival here in Texas, but you’d have to talk to some big Deaf people in your area!
When he quit (because people were being rude to him:( ), I didn’t really have anywhere to use ASL and so stopped. Now, I want to continue to/relearn. I really like this videos set up, with you signing and the words at the bottom. I can watch the signs and if I am confused on a word or phrase, I can see what it means below. It makes self-teaching easier. 🙂
Hey. I’ve been watching your ‘music videos’ for a while now and have really enjoyed them. A few years ago I started learning to sign because a little girl on my street was/is hard of hearing and I used to babysit her. And then, a few years later there was a deaf boy that joined my cadet corps (with an interpreter) and I was the only one there able to keep up conversation with him (very basic, though, with lots of fingerspelling and writing things out, He taught me a lot).

How did the festival go? Do you have videos you are going to put up? I really enjoy watching you but i was stuck back hear in TX at school. I really wish I could have made it, I have family out there so i would have gone if not for school. Do you know of anything like that in this area. I go to A&M but am willing to travel and know lots of people in Austin and Waco who would love to attend an ASL festival.

I was in the crowd talking to the deaf people who were attending. Some enjoyed your performance. But there were others who took offense to a hearing student being up on stage performing in sign at an ASL festival. The majority of people who were paying attention to your performance were hearing ASL students. Most deaf people didn’t seem to be all that interested. Do you think you can comment on that?

We plan to come this Saturday. We live 45 min. away. How shall we try to meet up? Make sure your dad comes with you to all meetings of new people. Be safe! Can we e-mail directly? I hesitate to list our phone number online here. Are you able to attend church with anyone this weekend? We sometimes go to a fantastic deaf church in Vallejo, CA at 10:45. We can send a link if you want. Vallejo Bible Church has a separate service that is a deaf service and if asked they interpret for the hearing.
Yay! Congratulations! First of all, let me say you are AMAZING!! I LOVE watching your videos! I live about an hour out of San Francisco, but I am graduating that day so I can’t go 🙁 But I wish you the best of luck! You have inspired me to take ASL. I am going to a college next year in New York with a great ASL program so I am going to get a concentration in it! Thank you for doing what you do so well and with such passion! <3

That is so cool! I am bummed cuz it’s 5 hours up the coast from us. But I will be thinking of you. We will be at the children’s hopsital on the 20th in Madera, that’s a little closer, but wrong date… bummer. I love what you are doing and I think you are doing a great job at it. This world needs more people like you in it! If you wanna catch a shot of my baby doing his first performance he’s on “IanShow1” He’s the one in the orange shirt. not bad for being autistic!

Your signing is so clear! Will there be a lot of kids there? I’m currently in ASL1 as a freshman. I’m terrible at signing, ahah.
