  1. It’s never a bad thing to learn another language. Will be helpful if there is a deaf patient that the doctor needs to communicate with quickly – will save having to find an interpreter.

  2. oh of course! any thing that will help you better communicate with patients is a good idea. not sure how hard it would be to learn though

  3. Well it’s not necessary, but it will come in handy if you’re planning on working with people with disabilities. If you want to be… say an ER nurse, it won’t be as useful. So yeah, it all depends on what field you want to get into. I think you should learn it if you’re interested– it will help you communicate better with some patients.
