I am a University student minoring in ASL. My favourite practice is signing songs. I just did one today actually. Your sign transitions are so fluid, and beautiful, they flow together like you are painting a picture with your hands.

It’s probably just because you’ve just started learning! Don’t worry, over time, you’ll get this. It may be that you’re expecting each word and each sign to “match,” but since English and ASL are two different languages, there is no word-to-sign correlation like that. In other words, ASL is not “English on the hands” but its own language with its own grammar and sentence structure. Moreover, this is an interpretation of the meaning of the lyrics.
