  1. Sign language is really fun, but I do not know of any schools that offer that… I think that you would be required to take something like Spanish, French, or German if your school DOES offer it. They want you to take a foreign language, and sign language is different in each country.

Sign language is really fun and perhaps you can find some place else to learn it. Or you could concentrate on your studies and then learn it in college.

  2. Do schools even offer that? & plus sign language isn’t foreign, its used everywhere in the world. PLus its not spoken or written so you can have tests on it

  3. you should take it, sign language IS fun! it is also useful because you may not know, you may need it, to communicate with other handicapped people:D

  4. It does count at lots of schools, even colleges, as a foreign language. There are huge differences in how it is done in different countries. There are even regional ‘accents.’ Sign language interpreters make lots and lots of money, and interpretation is required by most states for deaf students through college.

Ask a counselor at your high school about what they require for graduation. If your major is going to be Music, then take German. I’m not sure why, but every Music major I know does German.
