Every year, there is this competition between AG churches called “Fine Arts Festival”. Students compete in drama, singing, and other talents.
I have been looking into doing sign language this year.
Basically, you choose a Christian song and sign to it. The problem is, I know no signs. But I really want to compete this year.
So my questions are these
-What is a good Christian song to sign to?
and
-What is a good online site to learn sign on that is free and easy?
Thanks everyone:)
.
Signing is a full language, not just signs for english words.
I’m not sure you could find a site that would teach you how to correctly sign by NEXT christmas, much less this one.
What you would be signing would “read” to a deaf person like : Night holy o. knees fall i. prayer. Listen. angels of voices…
but if you do want “just signs” then this is a good site to learn from:

if you didn’t care what you were signing per say, here is a list of youtube carols signed by ASL speakers. some are beautiful. you might not know what each sign meant, but it would be better than just using a dictionary without knowing grammar. it would be like singing a latin song phonetically.

It’s relatively easy to sign along. Go on youtube and check out some videos of other people signing it. Also, try this site: http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/browser.htm
