No, it’s different. However, American Sign Language has similarities with French Sign Language because it was derived from them. But British Sign Language does not.

All cultures have some differences (atleast). The thumbs up sign in American culture means something insulting in Iranian culture. That is one example
American and French sign more similar than Enland sign, but no they are different. They can usually understand you though.
