Yes I always wanted to learn that. It reminds me how Indians used to talk with their hands.
I learned a few words of sign language. I’d think it would come in useful for hearing people. Sometimes there are places where you can’t hear each other.
I do not sign; some of my co-workers do. Like any other language, it takes much study to learn how to use sign language. My friends speak American Sign Language. But there are many other sign languages. It is interesting to watch them talk. It is useful because when we go somewhere in different cars, they can exchange directions easily. I recognize a few phrases, but not much. I do think it would be fun to learn.
Years ago I had to go to a highschool with people I could not associtate with according to a parent. I met 4 people that I could associate with and will never forget the great time I had learning sign, inuendos and how to do so many things that I would have never thought of being a person that could hear. My friends that could not hear had more fun than anyone I have ever known. Even though it has been years I still am able to understand things I can not hear. My friends back then jumpstarted me to a world now that I will be ever grateful for. Thank you for the question, now I must research to find them.
i’m learning sign language 🙂 thats one of the ways my family talks to my brother
I would like to learn sign language but I don’t know anyone who uses it, so I’m not sure who I’d talk to in sign language.
I recently became hearing impaired and am practicing how to read lips, because I miss half the things people say to me now, but the only two almost-deaf people I know don’t know sign language, so I’d be signing to myself I’m afraid. 🙂
