Sign Language Lessons, Information, Product Reviews and Tips to Get Started Learning ASL

No because it is english in sign language. it should only count as english because it has the same spelling, vocabulary, and sentence structure
in some schools it is.
it mainly depends on where you live and what school you go to. several colleges offer it as a major. However, I wouldn’t necessarily consider a HS course in ASL to be college credit worthy unless it is with College level instruction.
If you were doing sign language in spanish then yes. Have a great day!
My personal opinion is that it should. It expands your ability to communicate with others. True, it is not verbal, and it is still an American language, but it is a language nonetheless. Just as you can learn a lot about new cultures by learning a foreign language, you can also learn a lot about deaf culture (trust me, there is lots to learn) by learning sign language.
Yes. It’s still a way we communicate with other people, which is what we do when we speak any language.
