no my baby is not deaf but she seems open to learning. I saw the today show a while back and there was a little girl who i think was around one year old who could read. Her mother said she learned sign language first. I also wanted to know bc my sister has an autistic son who she wants to teach more sign language. He already knows some bc he doesnt talk. Thanks so much!

dont teach your baby sign language. if they can communicate that way why would it want to talk?????

Is your baby deaf or do you just want to be able to communicate with him/her before they can speak? If it is the latter, there is a book called Baby Signs that is supposed to work very well for communication. (never tried it though as my daughter was already speaking when I heard about the book.)
