Flobots – Handlebars (ASL)

I might re-do the song. This vid was supposed to just be me getting some ideas out of my head onto tape so I wouldn’t forget. I was going to improve on it when I had a minute, but I kinda like how it serendipitously came together the first time. You’ll notice I’m playing with concepts in my head, that process slows down my production at times (ie concept for + nuclear power vs. – nuclear warfare). Regardless, this is an incredibly deep, multi-layered song with a lot of hidden, historical, allegoric lyrics – I hope you’ll enjoy the interpretation, cheers. lml/.

  6. Wow. I watched this video to compare to the other Handlebars interpretations and this is simply amazing. I loved the passion, man! Great job.

  7. Vaccination and assassination sequence … amazing! And — true business — i EXPLODED (in front of my computer), right on target, with the planet in the end (second viewing). What a pleasure. I’ve been watching your vids for the last hour, sending them to friends. This one took me by surprise — your interpretation does justice (and more) to the insane progression of the song, which I’d never heard before. I was swallowing up every movement I could and then — K’BLAM!!! Wow.

  9. wow awesome work translating the song. seriously. the whole time up until now i took the song literally. like “no handlebars” meant he was riding a unicycle. who knew it was deeper shit than that. i don’t think anyone can top you in this one.
