  1. I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ——–deafmatching dot c om——–, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

  2. Haha! Very true about the girl to guy ratio. There are definitely always more girls in my ASL classes than guys. By the time midterm hits there are like only 1 or 2 left if any at all. I think that is interesting. Francisco is very funny! Great job.

  3. so true about the guy to girl ratio in ASL classes. im lucky if there is another guy.

  4. LOL! AWESOME! Francisco is hilarious! I love it that he is a CODA-in-Law. *grins* It’s cool to see these stories from an ASL Student point of view.

  5. It’s the same in my ASL class when it comes to percentages of ASL students either men or women. We start out with both men and women (few men and more women). Right after the midterm, men start dropping the class. Towards the end there’s only maybe 2 men and almost same amount of women as the beginning. AMAZING! Or it starts with mostly women and one or two men and stays that way throughout the semester. Again, AMAZING.
