I has an issue with one word choice. Comic book signed as “FUNNY BOOK”
Conceptually, that’s a little off in my opinion.
But i can also see, that since this song is fairly fast, that you dont have time to fully explain a comic book conceptually, so i can under stand this.

@iheartdbsg if you look closely at the beginning you can tell from her movements and when she was blinking that she just sped up the video on the computer, so that she can go at the same time as the song.

@mandeelee87 ..hmm ok first of all, my mother is deaf & she watched both videos. She understood Ally’s better. I didn’t say I didn’t like his, I think it’s awesome, but I also know the words. I watch ewittborg’s often, I like how it builds up & can feel it, he doesn’t interpret everything. I’m not expecting word for word & I didn’t say I didn’t like it. Thanks for your input, but there was a reason I asked for Ally’s opinion.

@nicolehm3.. hmm ok first of all ASL is an INTERPRETATION and if you ask someone who is truly deaf to watch this video might say it was boring because they do not feel anything from it.. its signing and transliterating. With Ewittborg’s video, I was pumped up and felt the way the music was swelling and all the powerful concepts and the hairs on my neck and arms stood up because I FELT it. That is what you need to remember.. deaf people cant hear it so they need to FEEL it..
I saw your version of “Handlebars” first then Ewittborg’s. I noticed about that song & others of his, it doesn’t seem to be ASL but looks more of an expressive type of sign. I guess if I was deaf I would want to know the words more than someone just almost doing their own expressive interpretation, as awesome as his was. I think your version is more understandable & in the actual ASL version. I just wanted to know your thoughts on both ….you sign beautifully by the way!
