I was just learning some basic words and phrases in sign language and wondered how to say Girlfriend and boyfriend because I couldn’t find out.

The actual sign means “Sweetheart.” Put your hands in the “a” position, fists (knuckles) touching, palms towards your body, in front of your heart. Thumbs up, and bend at each other, like two little birds talking to each other.
