Volunteer at schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and maybe courts.
They always need an interpreter’s.
keep taking classes, ask your instructor if there is a Deaf resource center in your area, and practice.
If you tooked level one, two or three sign language class, you cannot go and volunteering or getting paid because you know some sign language, it is same for person who are from Spanish and learned level one English and decided to be translator because they know some English.
I am sorry if I seem very critiquing person because Im so sick of people who think they are qualified to be interpreter because they tooked a sign language class or know some sign language. From my own personal experience, in my soccer practice, my coach asked someone who know sign language and are not qualifed and she caused so much misunderstanding, it make my day sucks big time and it hurts my feeling very much.
You can get paid work if you are certified interpreter. Just like to be a English teacher, you have to be certified in English.
Okay, if you want to learn more in a natural enviroment, I don’t know where you live, hopefully that you live in Ontario, if not then, let me know. You should go to deaf community, there are several centre such as ODSA (Ontario Deaf Sports Association) It is very fun, you can participate the sports such as golf, ball hockey or volleyball and many more. You can play and communicate with deaf people.
You can ask your sign language teacher, since your teacher is deaf and your teacher can give you more and better information and questions that you have. I am sure your teacher is willingly to answer all of your question and refer you to place or community that you can learn sign language more.
If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
Continue studying and get information from your local library or order it online.
