In college, does a sign language credit worth as much as a foreign language credit?

At my school it does. I took ASL in high school for three years and loved it! Now I am taking ASL in college and it counts as a foriegn language but it depends on your school ask your advisor.
The question of whether it counts for credit should be posed directly to the college admissions office so that you have an official answer. Remember that most colleges require two, three or even four years of the *same* language. If there is a requirement of three years of the same language, two of French and two of ASL will not meet it, for example.
