  1. Learning sign language is not hard. Once you memorize the 26 letters its just getting good at it. I memorized sign language while in 4th grade. I could have a conversation in 2 months. Once you memorize them you can make words. One thing that helped me was while saying do the letters with your hands. That is what I did. That is how I achieved 150 WPM typing, and being able to do sign language very well.

  2. ive studied a bit of sign lanuage, and from what i gathered it was easier to pick up than soething like spanish because i found that it was a lot easier to remeber getures (some of them are quite amusing) than learning a whole new pronunciation, spelling rules, and so on – its only really the 1 element. The only thing is taking notes it quite hard, but if you practise regularly it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

    As for learning spanish as well, i dont think it would be liek studying french and spanish, as sign language is different to oral languages – theres less elements to it – i.e. grammar and all that, so i’d go for it and do them both 🙂
