  1. A lot of schools don’t count it as a foreign language credit during admissions. But, if you’ve taken a lot of classes in it, or are fluent in it, then that can give you some weight. You just need to highlight the fact that you are advanced in this language.

  2. That really depends on the college. As far as I know, it is accepted at most colleges as the language requirement. Your best bet is to look on the college that you’re interested in’s website, or if you can’t find it there call them and ask them. As I said though, many colleges do accept sign language as meeting the language requirement.
