  1. There are a number of colleges that offer programs for sign language, even some online. If you are looking to get a degree or certification, the best website to go to is http://www.rid.org. (registry of interpreters for the Deaf). on that website, you can search schools with an online program.

    If you don’t care about getting an actual degree, you can learn ASL online at aslpro.com, signingonline.com, and handspeak.com.

  2. If you’re really serious about learning ASL you can’t learn online. If you are thinking about becoming an interpreter or even working with the Deaf community I would suggest going to classes because it is very difficult to learn proper ASL without face to face communication.
