Koko Gets a Kitty Visit

Koko has always been very affectionate toward kittens (remember All Ball on the 1985 cover of National Geographic) and still entertains them as guests from time to time. In this clip she receives a Koko receives a visit from 5 kittens (thanks to the San Francisco Peninsula Humane Society). She picks a winner (“Tigger”), but will she invite Tigger to stay? Stay tuned for the sequel clip..

  1. @jkirk1626 What do you mean by that? The kitten’s been called Tiger because it has orange hair like a tiger… that’s it. (now, english isn’t my first language.) But, maybe there’s something else to you…
By the way, I inadvertently clicked on the green thumb up instead of “reply”.

  2. I don’t understand what’s happening here. However, at 1:45, the name that the off-camera person “chooses” sounds painfully close to a horrible racial epithet. While I admire these charitable Section 8 housing programs that match shelter animals with tenants and the Obama demographic, I don’t think such race-baited names for the kitties are helpful.

  3. i cant belive the same gorilla i saw as a child o tv is now on you tube! that is amazing.

Your absolutely right and humans, being animals, are just as unpredictable.

  5. Everyone always tries to act like Koko is so intelligent but I feel like she never signs unless there’s food involved.

  6. Animals are so unperdictable, I don’t know about putting a 1 pound kitty with a Gorilla lol Something could piss big Koko off and he/she could wreck everyone in that room, wouldn’t be so cute then would it lol but thats why you put your life on the line everyday and I sit behind my computer and watch your videos lol 5-5

  7. @VioletteZebra The meanings for those words have more colloquial meanings, so they can pretty much mean anything as long as it is easy to see.

I was responding to someone who called me gay because i liked the video. Also, the word Gay does mainly refer to only males.

  10. @VioletteZebra -Um, yes, you CAN be a female and be gay. It’s called being a lesbian. “Gay” does not refer to homosexual males alone. And what does this have to do with this video, anyway?

  12. @scratchedwaffle First, you should really learn how to use English properly and secondly I am a girl so it is impossible for me to be gay or a fag.

  13. @AzumaRikimaru tamed and trained animals are still just following instinct imo. A lion that doesn’t kill it’s trainer may be suppressing it’s instinct to kill, but only in favor of the stronger instinct for the food which the trainer gives. Even that much is impossible with many animals. Lions are social animals after all. They also kill occasionally.

Human evil is obviously a complex subject abotu which we can only theorize.

I see your point… but animals can be tamed and trained. There are plenty of examples that animals can over come instinct. People do have the choice between choosing the two, so why is it that so many have done wrong? Do they enjoy doing evil? I’m sure animals are not as dangerous as humans are. That is what I was trying to prove to another poster.

Sorry for ranting, or whatever people call it….haha.

I appreciate your reply, thank you!
