I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ——–deafmatching dot c om——–, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

@allyballybabe I wouldn’t apologize for it because mouthing words is part of the language. You rarely see a deaf person communicate without mouthing many of the words that they are signing. It helps provide clues within the conversation to make sure the message is coming across. I think it just comes naturally.
Anyway, I think you do a great job. I love watching videos in ASL because I think they draw a greater meaning out of the song. Keep up the good work!

i was really nervous in this recording and thats prolly where a lot of the mouthing comes from. i have picked it up as a really bad habit, but im working on it.
im using the other sign for “yes” rather than the regular “s” handshape nodding.
