Should i take American Sign Language as my language course in high school?

I’m in 8th grade and i am choosing my courses for 9th grade. I hate languages but when i started to learn ASL from some older students, i actually enjoyed it. But, i heard that some colleges don’t accept ASL as a language. Should i just do spanish or french for 3 years (minimum requirements for my school is 3)?

p.s. I don’t no what colleges i want to go to since i am only 14.

I would like to be a american sign language interpreter?

I have only taken ASL 101 at a local community college, i have a hard time getting classes in my area.

Is there any organizations that will teach sign language just not as a “credit” or anyway to learn it will enough to be an interpreter without the piece of paper saying i can do it.

i really want to learn more.

Does American Sign Language (ASL) have different grammar rules than the spoken and written English word?

And yes, I know that ASL is American , and therefore has to work well with English. I know that ASL is different from the SL of other countries where English is not spoken. I am asking if the grammar rules are very different from English.
