Could someone please help me on my american sign language homework?

I have to “sign” a five minute report on someone who did something important for deaf people <--(they have to be famous), or have invented something for deaf people. I was thinking about doing it on the person who created the "teletypewriter." Problem is, I don't know who that is =/ Also, I have to show my teacher a website proving that he/she is real, I don't know why, but I do. Could someone please help me with this? .

I mean, is there any website in the internet that explain about sign language because i want to learn it. sign language as for the mute and the deaf. please do not answer if you don’t have the details. you are not realize that for us in the developed country, internet is still expensive. regards.

Would taking Italian and Sign Language at a community college this summer look good on my college app?

I’m a high school junior. I currently take Spanish, but I am interested in trying Italian and American Sign Language too. Would taking these two courses look good on the college application?

By the way, I’m taking these courses because they sound interesting and I think they will be fun and useful to know, and I’m just curious about the college app thing.
Also, I am in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, so my other classes during the year are rigorous.

Where can I find a complete list of all countries that use American Sign Language?

I understand that about forty different countries use ASL. I need to know ALL of the countries that use either ASL or a derivative of it. Any site links that could point me in the right direction are also very appreciated. Thanks!
