Learning to sign language?

I’m thinking about going back to school and becoming a sign language interpreter. I’ve studied it some on my own, and have decided to take Sign Language I and II to make sure it’s what I want. But I’d like to get advice on others that do this. Like what your hours are like working for what or who? What’s the average salary? What are the up’s and down’s to the job? Any other advice would be appreciated aswell.
