Baby sign language question?

My baby has been learning sign language at daycare. There’s one sign he keeps making (I think) that I don’t understand. His index finger points to his palm. He keeps doing it so I think it’s sign, but am not sure. I saw that that’s the British sign for L or T I think, but I don’t believe that’s what he’s trying to do. Any signers that might know if it’s likely sign and what it means?
It’s not “more” because he does the other version of more (constantly) with the fingertips together. It look like the letter L on this website: http://www.aspexdesign.co.uk/bsl.htm

He could of course be doing it incorrectly; then again it could be a made-up sign for him. I really believe the former. I’d swear he’s trying to sign something though. It’s very deliberate and repetitive. I will ask them, I just want to know what it is ASAP! 🙂 Thanks…

I wanna teach my daughter baby sign language. Is 6 months too early to start?

My daughter is 6 months and I’m very interested in starting baby sign language with her. I read two different sources: one that said I should start at 6 month and one that said I should start at 10 months. I’m not sure which one to go by. Shaould I try at 6 months? Has anyone actually had much success with it and can you give me some resources to help me get started?
